It was the 2nd training for the YOG event in August.
Today was component training.
So, my place of venue is Marina Barrage.
Reached there around 10 a.m.
We started our training at around 10.30 a.m.
Today wasn't as fun as yesterday.
I was yawning a lot today.
Lack of sleep..
Simply, today they just went through with us what will happen on the actual day and how it's going to happen.
My station was the Water Sampling station.
So, we have to three stations where the athletes will have to collect water to test for salinity and turbidity of each type of water(seawater, fresh water and tap water).
Salinity is the amount of salt in the water and turbidity determines how clear the water is.

My station is at the Marina Bridge.
The Marina Bridge separates the seawater and the fresh water.
(As shown below)

So, the athletes will need to collect water using a pail.
They will need to throw the pail down and bring the water up.
Just like trying to get water from a well.
They will then have to fill up another pail to a certain amount.
It will be marked on the pail.
Once they fill up the pail, then they will be able to test the salinity and turbidity of the water.
Once tested, they will record it and moved on to the next station.
Since they will be likely to be separated into 3 teams,
each team will be appointed to 1 station at first.
We decided to make the activity a bit competitive to make it more fun.
We will timed them.
Since they are athletes, they should be competitive by nature.
So, it suits them.
The purpose of this activity is to tell them that not all clear water are drinkable.
You cannot see the small particles that are in the water.
Only 1% of the water in the world are consumable.
And, I forgot what to say anymore.
Haha.
Will remember in the next training.
K then.
Bye.
